Authenticity Claim Procedure
If the original purchaser believes a product fails to meet our Sheffield origin listing criteria: contact cs@sheffieldsteel.com with your SheffieldSteel.com order reference number and proof of purchase. The item must be returned to our South Yorkshire inspection facility for metallurgical and provenance audit. Where return is impractical due to size, clinical use, or international shipping restrictions, Webcom Limited reserves the right to conduct a remote documentary audit at our sole discretion. If non-compliance is established, Webcom Limited will issue a 100% refund of the original purchase price plus full reimbursement of outward and return shipping fees.
3. Orders, Pricing and Contract Formation
An order placed on SheffieldSteel.com constitutes an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed only when we issue a formal Dispatch Confirmation email. Webcom Limited reserves the right to decline or cancel any order prior to dispatch confirmation, including where stock availability cannot be confirmed, where payment verification fails, or where a product is incorrectly priced due to a manifest error. Any payment taken will be refunded in full within five working days in such cases.
Prices are displayed in GBP, EUR, or USD based on geo-location settings. UK orders: standard UK taxes apply. International orders: products shipped outside the United Kingdom may be subject to local import duties, tariffs, and customs clearance fees, which are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
4. Delivery and Title Transfer
Orders are fulfilled via our Central South Yorkshire Logistics Hub (24 to 48 hours dispatch) or via Maker-Direct Dispatch from verified Sheffield workshops. Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon handover of goods to the contracted carrier. Title in the goods transfers to the buyer only upon receipt of full cleared payment by Webcom Limited.
5. Consumer Cancellation Rights
B2C consumer buyers retain full statutory protection under UK law. Standard (non-customised) items may be returned for any reason within 14 calendar days of receiving delivery. Returned items must be unused, in original saleable condition, with all protective packaging and factory seals intact.
Where a returned item is found not to be in unused, original condition upon inspection, Webcom Limited reserves the right to apply a reasonable deduction from the refund to reflect any diminution in value, in accordance with Regulation 34(9) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Bespoke Exclusions: Statutory cancellation rights do not apply to goods made to custom specifications, bespoke blade commissions, or items custom-engraved at the buyer's request.
6. Commercial B2B and Wholesale Procurement
Orders placed by commercial entities, institutional buyers, or medical procurement departments are categorised as Business-to-Business transactions. B2B orders are governed by the written terms of the accepted purchase order or commercial invoice. Statutory consumer cancellation rights do not apply to commercial procurement orders. Authenticity guarantees and metallurgical compliance warranties apply equally to B2B purchases.
7. Governing Law and Consumer Protection
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal disputes arising in connection with orders placed on SheffieldSteel.com shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms of Service affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence where those rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
8. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Contact cs@sheffieldsteel.com with any complaint. We acknowledge formal complaints within two business days and provide a full resolution response within 14 calendar days. In compliance with the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes Regulations 2015, we notify consumers that approved ADR bodies exist, though Webcom Limited evaluates participation in ADR on a case-by-case basis.
